Galvin's Chance, delivered in partnership with Hilton in The Community Foundation, provides an opportunity to disadvantaged young people in London between the ages of 18-24, including those at risk of gun and knife crime on some of Britain's most violent housing estates. The programme is the brainchild of Fred Sirieix, General Manager at Galvin at Windows. Fred wanted to try to set up a project that could help to combat some of the problems facing young people today such as gang culture and a lack of work opportunities.
Galvin's Chance, which has already supported several young Londoners into full time work, is delivered in partnership with Hilton in the Community Foundation. The programme includes industry leading training towards a 'front of house' hotel or restaurant career – one which requires dedication, ambition and enthusiasm. Chris Galvin, Chef Patron, believes "Working in restaurants, as I have now done for 32 years, has made me realise just what an inspirational sector this is and what a great opportunity we have to make a difference to young people's lives."

Mayfair Park and Tower Race
The Mayfair Tower Race, is a unique 5km run around Hyde Park, followed by a race up the stairs of the London Hilton on Park Lane to Galvin at Windows, perched on the 28th floor.
Every runner commits to raising money for Galvin's Chance, a charity supporting underprivileged young people into work in the hospitality industry. The race, thought of by Chef Patron Chris Galvin and Fred Sirieix, raised £30,000 for the Galvin's Chance charity in its first year, enabling a series of apprenticeships in several London hotels for disadvantaged young people living on some of London’s most violent housing estates.

Since 2015 we hold an online auction of luxury chocolate boxes, created by top chefs and journalists just in time for Valentine’s day! The money will raise proceeds for Galvin’s Chance, Fred Sirieix, General Manager of Galvin at Windows, is gathering some incredible chefs including Raymond Blanc OBE, Eric Lanlard, Jose Pizarro and Michel Roux Jr to create bespoke chocolate boxes for some lucky people. The Galvin Cup, was created by of Chef Patron Chris Galvin and General Manager Fred Sirieix at Galvin at Windows as they felt it was time that bar staff, like chefs, received recognition for their hard work and creativity, and introduced a competition to identify talent within the bar industry.
The competition is open to both students and professionals and is an opportunity for them to showcase their skills in front of a panel of judges including industry leaders such as Robbie Bargh of the Gorgeous Group.

National Waiters Day is the brainchild of Fred Sirieix and is designed to celebrate all front of house staff and inspire people about careers in the Hospitality industry.
The day aims to change the perception of Front of House and Service as an unskilled job working long hours to one of a job that offers good skills, lead to a rewarding career with good progression routes and amazing rewards.
